Hello, and welcome to the website for my trilogy entitled ‘The Spirit Tracers.’
‘ What if a bewitched stone had the chance to reverse the pain of death?’
It’s strange how sometimes fantasy novels are not just written, but partly re-written. Over the last six months I’ve been busy curating a brand new opening to the trilogy. I feel it has now properly found its feet and sets up some exciting things, which all connect, in the fullness of time.
Over the page is that brand new opening in comic book form to illustrate our exciting story. We are waiting for just one agent to open that door so we can begin a long and fruitful journey to being published and the world can finally share in this unique trilogy.
If you like ‘The Gold Compass’ and ‘Eragon’ along with nods to ‘The Dark Crystal ‘ and ‘The Hobbit’ I’m sure you will enjoy what we have created. It’s a very visual story which we tested out with 2 comic book adaptations. We promoted both issues through Kickstarter. Such was the enthusiasm for the idea that both editions easily reached their targets. Below are some samples from the advertising campaign for it.
Like many people, comics have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Those UK versions of ‘Spider-Man’ ‘The Avengers,’ ‘Capt. Britain’ and of course ‘Star Wars’ whet my appetite to escape into those amazing Marvel worlds.
I also loved the Disney comics like ‘Donald and Mickey’ and even ‘Disneyland’ which are very collectable now.
My project has been bubbling for an incredible 13 + years now and was written as a trilogy /book series initially.
I have even broadcast some snippets of the story on my on-line music show ‘Musicana’ playing them as ‘mini radio dramas’ which went down very well.
Over the last few years I have visited the Disney Expo’s in Anaheim, CA where I met some truly great film makers and story tellers who gave wonderful advice on story. I would like to think that some of those meetings have helped me in my ‘creative bubble.’
So, why a comic book?
After explaining to the owner of ‘Ltd Edition Comix’ in Stevenage about some of the characters and villains, he thought they would be perfect to unleash in a comic book. I went away and thought about it, within 2 hours I could see clearly the landscape and characters would indeed be perfect to run wild within that exciting format.
Whizz forward to just over a year later and here we are setting off on this amazing adventure. If you like ‘Star Wars,’ Lord of the Rings’ or the original ‘Superman: The Movie’ I think you will love it.
I hope you like what you see and will enjoy the ride with us across the Crystal Star System.

…. Indeed we are at the brink of something vigorously exciting, bold, daring with a sensitive deep, and delicate hand outstretched to the Cosmos, and as far as dreams can travel….
None can put a limit to this man’s dreaming and imagination….
He has created a broad, incredibly expansive canvas in which many new lives will thrive; charactors we will learn to love and despise in equal measure…..
So climb aboard the Starcruiser which will take you from the Crystal city to amazing and daring worlds beyond….
Take a deep breath, and leave all you once knew, or believed behind you….
It’s going to be an epic trip!

I have received my copy of the first edition of The Spirit Tracers and it is very impressive. The artwork, story and narrative are superb. Well done Mark. All of your hard work has paid dividends. Onwards and upwards!
I received my copy a couple of weeks days ago. It is going to be our Little Grandson ‘Dylan s heirloom. Because even though he is only 2. He is heavily into sc,fi already!!

I remembered about ten years ago when Mark had discussed the concept & format of his creation…& had me aboard as The Concept Artist , discussing each & every detail of every character involved , to be worked on …. It’s so heartwarming to see All the creations finally there , Coming alive from the first issue …& dynamic colours used !!! Being a comic book fan I’m enjoying every breathtaking moment from page to page !!!!
